Delicious And Nutritious Ice Cream Treat For Your Kids

An eminent education advisor of a preschool in the City of Industry, CA tells that young children are naturally attracted to sweet and sugary foods like ice cream. This is believed to be an innate protection against potentially poisonous foods which often taste bitter.

It is found that most young children like sweet foods and especially ice cream. They are almost obsessed with it. You will rarely find any child who will turn down if you offer him or her ice cream. This is an observation of a preschool caregiver in a City of Industry, CA. Ice cream is a delectable treat for children as it is creamy, cold, and sweet.

But like most of the sugary treats, ice cream is loaded with calories, sugar, and fat. Apparently, ice cream is an unhealthy food because too much intake of it may make your children obese and because of high sugar content, it affects children’s teeth. But a preschool dietician tells that by applying a little trick, parents can turn ice cream into a healthy and nutritious food especially for those picky children who do not eat more and suffers from a lack of nutrition.

Here are two nutritious ice cream preparation tips given below.
Chocolate Banana split ice cream :

It is very easy to make. For each serving take one banana and make a fine slice of it. Take half cup plain vanilla ice cream, 2 tablespoons chocolate sauce, and 1 tablespoon shredded chocolate.

Peel and slice the banana. Mix it in the ice cream. Pour the chocolate sauce on it. Sprinkle shredded chocolate before serving. This ice cream not only is delicious, but it is also rich in calcium, potassium, and carbohydrate. If you serve it to your child in his breakfast, he can even skip lunch if he likes.

Cinnamon Toast Ice Cream :

This ice cream is not only ice cream, it is an excellent substitute for cereals. To make it you will need one cup of creamy milk, 1 cup ice cream (preferably vanilla or chocolate because the flavor of cinnamon goes well with these two flavors), 2 slices of firm sandwich bread, little amount of brown sugar, and little amount of cinnamon powder.

In the milk add sugar and some cinnamon powder and mix well. Cut bread slices into small cubes and soak them in the milk for some time so that the bread slices soak the milk. Now in a flat bottom square container add a layer of vanilla ice cream. Then place one layer of bread. Cover it with ice cream. Place another layer and cover it with the rest of the ice cream. Sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon powder over it. You can prepare it the previous night and keep it in the refrigerator. Serve it to your child in breakfast, lunch, or dinner whenever he likes. It is wholesome food.
